HOW TO THRIVE DESPITE EXPERIENCING IMPOSTOR SYNDROME
Impostor Syndrome can be draining. If you are constantly feeling not good enough, your mental and emotional wellness takes a huge hit and that can impact your physical health, your relationships, and your overall well-being. It can limit your ability to tackle projects and responsibilities if you don’t think you are capable. And for anyone trying to take their career, business, or self to the next level – if you are experiencing Impostor Syndrome, you will likely feel like you hit the ceiling.
HOW TO GET PAST YOUR PERFECTIONISM AND 'JUST DO IT'
Lack of progress or that feeling of ‘getting stuck’ is often rooted in fear. Fear of making the wrong decision, fear of not having a perfect outcome, fear they will be judged as less than perfect, fear they won’t be able to course-correct. There are so many ways fear shows up, but that fear can be debilitating. Habit experts like Gretchen Rubin and Kendra Adachi talk a lot about eliminating decision-making – we can become fatigued by making decisions repeatedly. Habits with a one-time decision are easy to execute. I think this mindset can really help a perfectionist from getting stuck.

What can you possibly do to change this vicious cycle of interruptions? You need to take back control. Now I know you are asking: how do I take control of OTHER people interrupting me? So let’s start there.
WHY YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A MORNING PERSON
We all know ‘morning’ people. The ones who naturally (or in some cases) forcefully wake up by 5:00 am and crank out hours of productivity before we reconnect our minds to the awakened world. Some of my best friends, and my husband, are these people. I admire them and watch in awe as they continue to succeed at early morning productivity. But then... BAM! I am so rudely reminded that I am NOT a ‘morning person.’ I struggle to get up even after a solid night’s sleep. I snooze my alarm an embarrassing number of times. My kids and my husband tease me a ‘good afternoon’ when I appear what to them is hours later (in my defense, it’s usually only about 7:00 am!).
